6. A Litany is a list of devotional words, and he is mocking that type of poem.
ReplyDelete5. i think he feels that they are stupid and that is why he spends his rewrite mocking them.
1. yes he has that intent, I am pretty sure he is trying to make it ironic that hes writing one while he is mocking one.
2. I think that he steals the first two lines of the other poem because he thinks that they are absurd. When listening to his poem, I feel that he is using sarcasm while reading the lines. I think that he is making fun of the other poem by writing one that is similar.
ReplyDelete4. As before, I think that he is trying to show how strange it is to compare someone to a knife or a piece of bread. Like, seriously? Why would someone WANT to be a goblet?
6. I think that he is trying to show that litany doesn't work the way that the writer wants it to. If it was me receiving this poem, I certainly wouldn't feel that it was devotional...
